Prof. Shen has long been engaged in the scientific research and teaching of traffic architecture. He has presided over or participated in dozens of scientific research projects (including ongoing projects), won the first prize of science and technology progress award of Sichuan Province, and published nearly 100 papers in highly ranked journals. He is the executive director of Architectural Society of China (ASC), chairman of the Underground Space Academic Committee of ASC, vice chairman of Architectural Education Branch & Planning and Design Academic Committee of Innovative Industrial Park of ASC, member of National Board of Architectural Accreditation & Teaching Guidance Committee for Architecture Major in Higher Educational Institutions. He is also an expert awarded with government's special allowance and recognized with outstanding achievements by Sichuan provincial government.In 2020, he was honoured with a title of salient teacher by Education Department of Sichuan Province.
